Author Guidelines

Submission Process

Manuscripts for Journal of Advanced Technologies and Translational Multi-Omics in Exact Remedical Application (ATOM-ERA) must be submitted online via the journal’s submission system at www.atra.reapress.com.The submitting author typically the corresponding author is responsible for the manuscript throughout the submission and peer-review process. The submitting author must ensure that all eligible co-authors are correctly listed and that all co-authors have read and approved the submitted version of the manuscript.

To submit a manuscript, authors must register and log in to the journal’s submission platform.

Accepted File Formats

Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts using the official Microsoft Word or LaTeX templates provided by Journal of Advanced Technologies and Translational Multi-Omics in Exact Remedical Application. Use of the journal templates significantly reduces copy-editing time and accelerates publication after acceptance.

Accepted formats include:

  • PDF:
    Manuscripts submitted as PDF files are accepted only for the first review round.
  • Microsoft Word:
    Manuscripts prepared in Microsoft Word must be submitted as a single file using the ATOM-ERA Word template. Figures, schemes, and tables should be embedded in the main text immediately after their first citation.
  • LaTeX:
    Manuscripts prepared in LaTeX must follow the ATOM-ERA LaTeX template and accompanying class file. Figures should be provided in vector format (EPS preferred) with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi or higher.
  • Supplementary Files:
    Supplementary materials may be submitted in any format; however, the use of common, non-proprietary formats is strongly recommended.

Required Files

Before final submission, authors must ensure that all required files have been uploaded.

Manuscript File

  • Includes keywords
  • Contains all figures with appropriate captions
  • Contains all tables with titles, descriptions, and footnotes
  • All figure and table citations in the text match the provided files
  • Clear indication of whether color figures are required in print

Supplementary Files (if applicable)

Reproducing Published Material from Other Publishers

Authors are fully responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce any previously published material including figures, schemes, tables, photographs, or text excerpts that does not fall within the public domain or for which they do not hold copyright. Permission must be obtained from the copyright holder, usually the original publisher.

Permission Is Required For:

  • Your own previously published work where copyright was not retained
  • Substantial extracts from another author’s work or a series of works
  • Tables, graphs, charts, schemes, or artworks that are unaltered or only slightly modified
  • Photographs for which the authors do not hold copyright

Permission Is Not Required For:

  • Reconstructed tables based on previously published data, provided the source is cited (e.g., “Data from…” or “Adapted from…”)
  • Short quotations that qualify as fair use
  • Figures, charts, schemes, or artworks that are completely redrawn and substantially modified beyond recognition

Obtaining Permission

To avoid unnecessary delays in publication, authors are strongly encouraged to begin the permission-request process as early as possible. When in doubt regarding copyright ownership, permission should always be obtained. Journal of Advanced Technologies and Translational Multi-Omics in Exact Remedical Application cannot publish copyrighted material without appropriate authorization.

If the copyright holder specifies a required acknowledgment format, authors must follow it. Otherwise, the following standard format should be used at the end of the relevant figure, table, or scheme caption:

“Reproduced with permission from [author], [book/journal title]; published by [publisher], [year].”

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Copyright Notice

By submitting your manuscript to ATOM-ERA, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding copyright and licensing:

  1. Copyright Transfer: The author(s) hereby transfer(s) and assign(s) to ATOM-ERA all rights, title, and interest in and to the submitted manuscript, including but not limited to copyright, in all forms and media, now or hereafter known, throughout the world, for the full term of copyright, effective upon acceptance for publication.

  2. License: The author(s) retain(s) the right to use, reproduce, distribute, and publicly display the accepted manuscript for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes. The author(s) grant(s) ATOM-ERA a non-exclusive license to publish the accepted manuscript, including any supplementary materials, in the journal and other related platforms.

  3. Attribution: Any use of the accepted manuscript should provide appropriate attribution to the journal as the original source of publication.

  4. Creative Commons Attribution License: All articles published in ATOM-ERA are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY). This license allows others to use, share, and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes, provided proper attribution is given to the author(s) and the journal.

  5. Archiving: The journal is included in LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) archival systems to ensure the preservation and accessibility of the published content.

  6. Author's Rights: Except for the rights transferred and assigned to ATOM-ERA, the author(s) retain(s) all other rights, including the right to publish and distribute the preprint version of the manuscript.

  7. Ethical Considerations: By submitting your manuscript, you affirm that the work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. You also acknowledge that you have followed ethical guidelines and obtained the necessary permissions for any copyrighted material used in the manuscript.

  8. Review and Editing: ATOM-ERA  reserves the right to edit the manuscript for style, clarity, and format while preserving the integrity of the content.

  9. Dispute Resolution: In case of any dispute regarding copyright or licensing, both parties agree to work towards a resolution in good faith.
